San Diego, CA – The San Diego Equality Business Association (SDEBA), San Diego’s leading LGBTQ+ chamber of commerce, is excited to announce its Call for Nominations for the 2025–2026 Board of Directors. This is a unique opportunity for community-minded professionals to help shape the future of LGBTQ+ business advocacy and development across the region.
SDEBA is seeking passionate, forward-thinking leaders who are ready to contribute their talents and expertise to support the economic vitality and visibility of LGBTQ+-owned and allied businesses in San Diego.
Ideal candidates will bring experience in one or more of the following areas:
LGBTQ+ community advocacy
Finance or accounting
Legal expertise
Nonprofit fundraising
Business management
Strategic planning
Community organizing
Board members will serve one- to three-year terms beginning in 2025, providing strategic leadership and community representation as part of their service.
Board members will:
Attend regular board meetings
Serve on committees and task forces
Help shape strategic direction
Represent SDEBA at local events
Engage with the organization’s diverse membership
Contribute to ongoing advocacy and outreach
Applications are due by Friday, May 9, 2025, at 5:00 PM PST. To be considered, applicants must submit the following:
A completed online nomination questionnaire
A professional resume
A brief bio
A recent headshot
Materials (excluding the questionnaire) should be emailed to info@sdeba.org. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All qualified candidates will be invited to participate in a virtual interview as part of the selection process.
